i saw him, vibert, mu-ziq, + the rest in chowtown and it was, as the
kids say, the illness. the pusher brought his bass as I hoped he would,
but at times I thought it was a bit... overdone? nomind. some old, some
new. tough;ended with 'full rinse'! lukes set of stripped-down oldskool
breaks&bass with acieed! (ceephax, afx, etc) for spice totally WRECKED it.
definitely the best dj mix ive seen in a quite some time. mu-ziq has my
pick for best set of the weekend though. 1/3 of the trax were from
'bilious', 1/3 from 'lunatic harness'+'brace yourself' era + some other
released bits, 1/3 unreleased? jackin! got tired of salvo beta losing
the plot and I was too busy getting stoned so I missed all but the last
bit of dykehouse (didn't like the lip-sync, singalong thing on
'on/off'). oh well.
cheers chicago.
