A bit more indie/electronic hybrid with the emphasis on the latter or the sort of usual Morr feel, however you want to describe it. I love the stuff associated with Manual.

GORGEOUS ambient pads, washes and swells with some minimal guitar; rhythmic but not always with beats (but some nice ones when they're there!). I hesitate to call it "epic" ambient, but it's bordering on it. Deep, melodic stuff which is somewhat reminiscent of the mid-late 90s idm/ambient hybrids, but this has a 21st century touch to it. It often shimmers beautifully. It isn't as rhythmic as, say, Bola's Soup or as full-sounding as GC's 76:14...it's a bit lighter a record - but I wouldn't hesitate to mention it as one of the few records I've heard lately which aspires to that sort of ambient landscape. I'm sure someone will disagree with me vehemently - stay tuned. :-) jeff jeff --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
