The second release of the label marks the return of Londoner Simon Walley aka
CiM! CiM built up a big profile with releases for respected labels as Delsin
and deFocus, for which he released his impressive 'Reference' album. This Noki
Bay EP is his first full release after more than two and half years! The EP
brings nine tracks in his trademark style, warm subtle electronics with a
little touch of Detroit. The full sleeve artwork is again supplied by the man

[ Alex Cortex - Inward CTRL ]
[ ANN-CD1 & ANN-LP1, coming June 2nd ]
The Ann Aimee label comes with it's first full length album. Alex Cortex does
the job, and his CD 'Inward CTRL' contains 24 (!) tracks, ranging from ambient
sound scapes to complex rhythm affairs. As a whole it reminds of Black Dog
Productions, Boards of Canada, The Detroit Escalator Co, CiM and likes. He
perfectly combines intriguing melodies over rhythms with a little touch of the
Detroit sound. Alex Cortex is a young, multi-talented guy from Germany and has
done releases for labels such as Source and Klang Elektronik.. The brilliant
pieces on this album, bring back some needed warmth & soul in electronica. The
album comes in a catchy three-flipped digipack CD and full colour LP-sleeve,
both designed by Delta Inc. (The double vinyl version is called 'Inwards' and
comes with 17 tracks. The CD has seven tracks more, taken from the 'CTRL EP',
released March 2003).

The label set up by Peel Seamus and around for several years, with artists
like Aardvarck, Newworldaquarium, Dimension 5, Future Beat Alliance, Yotoko,
$tinkworx and others, this label hardly needs any further introduction.

[ Dynarec - R Cam EP ]
[ 38dsr/dnr1, coming May 19th ]
Delsin suprises with some deep slamming electro! After the likeminded sounds
of Optic Nerve (aka Keith Tucker), Amsterdam's eclectic Delsin-label brings
another deeply talented electro artist. This striking EP brings energetic
stuff, reminding to the earlier releases by Drexciya. The EP kicks off with a
short spaced out Dopplereffekt-like jam. The second track boosts all dust out
of the disco, with it's hunting bassline and beats. First track on side b
comes with funky intriguing melodies. Last track will shake legs as well,
pumping energetic beats come with apocalyptic synth sounds. But it's not yet
the end of the world, a full album is expected early next year! Check this.

Written&produced by AD, overseen by the 154. Long time 154-compadre Aroy Dee
comes with the goods on the immaculate NWAQ-imprint. Two bass-heavy pieces of
euphoria bringing back the good ole days of smaller towns, over-anxious smoke
machines, lousy cocktails and smiling shirts. Oh, and girls with perm,
tracksuits galore and gittin down with the Pina Colada Magic Tour. We had the
moves, the style, the action and the pussy, and we glance back at it with a
slight touch of melancholia.. Tnx mr Dee, for bringing it all back....... ; )
