Just an FYI: they do like most other laptop companies and simply buy the cases from a third party in some asian country. so you could get them for basically any laptop. of course, getting the rest of the parts probably wouldn't make it worthwhile. but it certainly wouldn't be difficult for other companies to design laptops the same way, as most do very little designing of their own. As far as the decision of buying a laptop goes, generally the best idea nowadays is to go with what you have. If you're running Windows and work really well in it, unless you feel like totally changing both how you work and what you work with, stick with a pc (that, and your wallet will thank you). If you use a mac and like the mac, wait a while for the new 15" powerbooks with a better case. -- eggytoast.com - eggtastic.com ------ it's in your grocer's freezer --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
