i would not really rave too much about "drei" and the remix cd. two new
tracks on the re-release are not all that wonderful as well. i'd say as
beefcake they have achieved the top level and it's time to move on in
different directions.
as an alternative to beefcake's ideological roots and similar
composition/feel i would really recommend tekniq.
also, displacer on m-tronic, end on hymen, proem's "among others",
perhaps latest crunch. i am sure idm list would have more suggestions :)
as for beefcake, gabor has been quite active with his machiste project
(full-length cd, remix cd upcoming and split with the isolations - all
three out on thrill beat construction), as well as under the names of
wighnomy brothers and robag wruhme he has released over a dozen (!)
releases on f.a.t
oh, and (as usual) most of the stuff above has been mentioned/reviewed
on "seven"
