I think you are confusing the American government, with the principals America was founded on. Two different things. The government is the institution in place that is supposed to uphold the principals this beautiful nation was founded on. If the government doesn't fulfill this purpose it is our obligation as americans and patriots to oppose the government. I am thankful to our founding fathers. I am also thankful to the thousands of known and unknown people who have help america grow and live up to its full potential by protesting and opposing the government when it strayed from these principals. zach
