So you don't think musicians deserve to be rewarded for years of dedication and hard labor they put into making their craft? And intellectual property rights are for the birds. What about property rights in general? Or are you an anarchist?

I don't buy vinyl because personally I think it is antiquated and more
of a tool for the 'elite' dj to use. I hate vinyl, its outdated and the
quality sucks compared to digital transfer on cd. Too large, too bulky,
too much too much. Too much to carry around; cd's are more my style and
if they break, I can replace them with ease.
I buy my music on cd's, when I cannot get it on cd, I get it off of
Soulseek. I support the artists if and when I can afford to buy cd's, if
not, I will rip it and d/l because personally I don't care if they make
money or not. Making music is not about making money.

yes. i mean actually buy it... with real money, and support the people
and labels who spend time, effort, and money for people like
us to enjoy it.
quoted 2 lines Use Soulseek when it is back up.>Use Soulseek when it is back up.
>Vinyl is so, passe'... ; )
yeah your right... i mean, how dare an artist release something on vinyl
? how dare they make it difficult to rip and share infinitely on
soulseek ? the mere fact that they release something on vinyl completely
justifies not buying it!! right !???? or perhaps i should send proem an
email, saying i'm going to download everything he releases on vinyl and
never buy it because it's SOOO, passe'!!! he'll understand right ?!?
so will his labels, right ?!?!? what a GREAT incentive for him to
continue making music!!! spend a great deal of time, work your ass off
to make something cool sounding, spend
loads of cash on software and equipment and get a label to invest in
your project and
release it to the public, and then no one buys it because it's passe ?
because it's on soulseek ?? what a great idea!!!!!!!
ok, sorry for the sarcasm... but people whom download music, and then
use lame excuses for never buying it, really bother me. i'm not saying
using soulseek is wrong, i've used it in the past and i know many
artists that use it as well. it's ok (imho) to use mp3's as a means of
previewing music before
you spend money on it, just don't forget the spend part. it's very
important to support the music
we like! and not use BS excuses like it was released on vinyl as reason
not to support an artist.
my 2 cents,
john
ps
i believe negativ was released on cd also....
not sure about burn plate
