The snares thing is pretty interesting. Because he was some sort of
noise, hardcore, breakbeat whatever hybrid, which was generally
outside the realm of "IDM". And then, he got signed to planet-mu,
and all of a sudden he was "IDM".
Its interesting because it seemingly validated alot of peoples
interest in hardcore strains, and brought at least a little increased
interest to what was going on in that scene (subsequently doormouse getting
an album on mu etc...)
