Let's see here, I was listening to Jane's Addiction, Skinny Puppy, Public Enemy, plus some stuff like Buzzoven, Soilent Green, and Fugazi. I still get off on all of that stuff to, particularly Too Dark Park and Fear Of A Black Planet. Of course it's arguable that any of these outfits (or the current stuff I'm listening to) is any good, but good music is timeless.
