excellent compilation out from chocolate industries featuring
idm tainted hip hop (or vice verse?) putting the likes of el-p,
aesop rock, mr lif and rjd2 side by side with prefuse 73, caural
and dj food. plays like a mixed tape, perfect for riding the bus
downtown.
after 'previewing' this one for awhile, was more than happy when I got
the real deal with artwork, which really completes this. the music
represents some of the best in urban/hip hop sounds and the packaging
is an excellent extension of the music, expressing urban living through
a series of art pieces featured in the notes.
musicians include : prefuse 73, aesop rock, mosdef & diverse, diverse,
mr lif,
souls of mischief, rjd2, while, el-p, dj food, miho hatori, tortoise,
caural and themselves.
