There is sort of something like that in RedBank NJ. Some friends of mine have a band (used to be a member) that has done live electronic music for the silent film "Nosferatu"
This weekend they are doing it again at a film festival in RedBank for the silent fil "The Lost World" It is an interesting act, that I was happy to be a part of. lots of analog synths, and spacey effects.
