recently it's stuff cut on the Dewali & Famine rhythms that have been
rocking my world (Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Cecile, Sizzla, Elephant Man,
etc...). The Dewali cuts are probably close to what you're looking for. It's
a danceable rhythm but really odd & rough sounding.
If you don't want to chase down the 7"s, Greensleeves does a good job of
compiling stuff cut on the same rhythms for good extended mix potential.
www.jammyland.com is a good source for buying fresh new dancehall sounds.
