the only Oval i have is Ovalprocess... over the years i have learned to love
this more and more... listened again last night, while going to sleep to it,
i swear it has never sounded more contemporary (his use of hazy modem sounds
that slowly plod along and the immensely thick hidden melodies are truly
astounding).
i don't own any other Oval. should i be happy with the i have, or is there
much more to explore in his sound? i ask because he seems to retread a lot
of ground from what i've heard.
likewise, i've got Fennesz's Endless Summer, which i have enjoyed immensely.
i would love some suggestions on other work of his that hold up to this
one, especially melodically, but am not particularly interested in hearing
simpler versions of these tracks, though my understanding is that Fennesz's
power is great, and he has worn many different hats.
cds are very expensive/honesty is appreciated.
