well, i don't wanna hate on my own people -- there's spinning and then there's selecting, and i was definitely down with everything selected last night. (well, just about -- sutekh, what the fuck was "break dance party" all about?! ;)) and hey, i tripped over the freakin CD input cord, knocking it on the ground and sending the needles skipping all over the joint, so i'm not one to talk. as for the mod thing... yeah, what gives? SF idm crowd gets more and more artpunk all the time. i think it's tigerbeat6's influence... they've got all the wannabe williamsburghers out here... :) -----Original Message----- From: kiya "i am a copier" babzani [mailto:denial@ix.netcom.com] Sent: Thursday, August 15, 2002 12:10 PM To: Philip Sherburne; idm@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: [idm] trouble eats your lunch!
quoted 1 line anyone make it out?> anyone make it out?
yup.. i made it out.. interesting to see how some idm artists can produce a decent album but can't spin records to save their lives. :) just my opinion though, philip i did enjoy your sets though, as always.. i can't believe how many people showed up... you're right, Amnesia WAS just a bar until that ghostly show, now it's idm central. and what's with the new "mod" looking idm crowd in sf???? weird. -kiya --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
