As someone else said, macrovision in full effect. http://www.macrovision.com/solutions/video/copyprotect/index.php3 of course someone has engineered a way around it. I suggest going to http://www.psreporter.com/xbox_mod_chip.html to take a look at what some innovative folk probably from China..not the land of the free people, but the land of free software and data, made.
quoted 14 lines I know this is a little off topic, but i have a question.> I know this is a little off topic, but i have a question. > Last night i was trying to use the xbox to record a videotape of a movie that i was playing thru the xbox (dvd) into the vcr (using the rca cables) and a high quality videtape. > > I go back to check the video and it fades in and out and has red lines going across the screen? Do they make protection that doesnt allow you to record from cd to tape now? When did this happed or is this just a stupid x box thing, as i have already found out the xbox does not play recorded cd's at all......only "store bought" cd's. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but i doubt it...? > > peace > > d > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org > For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org >
