yeah, on that tip, pete rock & cl smooth's 'return to the mecca', and 'the
main ingredient' are worth checking out too.
as for newer stuff i'd also recommend zion i's first, 'mind over matter'
(haven't heard the new one yet), mos def, and black star. i dig the anticon
and def jux stuff too but not sure if they really jive with blackalicious'
sound.
