well.... i live in monterey now... central coast california..
nothing to exciting here, as far as music stores go.. i was in border's and
here i stumble upon this new akufen release...
so i buy it w/o thinking... cuz hey... akufen is cool ! i have some of his
records! and they rock a party everytime i play them!
anyhow...
the album is good. i really like the pop element he's thrown in... just makes
it sound brighter.... something that's catchy and you can drive around on a
sunny day on the monterey penninsula... real satisfying experience...
i feel that he's become *very* formulaic.... quite loopy and somewhat drawn
out... almost playing himself out... but the shit is so catchy and it really
puts the "E" in neat0 ... and the 'G' in right on... >8)
