Shame that it got cancelled, we played w/Bola last night here in
Chicago. His set was pretty amazing; the accompanying video is simply
hypnotic. Darrell is a completely stand up fellow; given the
difficulties related to this tour, he was 100 times more good-natured
than I would have been in the same situation. Anybody who does have a
chance to see either of the 2 remaining shows on this tour should go.
The most amazing thing was he programmed all his synth patches from
scratch on a borrowed synth 90 minutes before the show started and
then played all the parts himself ... that's rare in today's
"push-play-on-laptop-and-nod" live electronica universe...
Anyway thanks to the people who showed up in Chicago :)
