Too much to talk about this early in the morning (and after no sleep),
but...
*Overall - the sound was wonderful in all the venues...
*Monolake-Deadbeat webjam - watching them activate the music on the big
screens built great tension--very cool...lots of cheering...
*Janek Schaffer - him sitting in the middle of ExCentris with his
dual-arm turntable, crazy prepared vinyl, and noise/feedback sounds was a
demonstration of carefully controlled noise. Exquisite.
*Akufen - storming cut'n'paste techhouse which you didn't want to end.
Lots of sweating and smiling faces.
*Hakan Lidbo - gameboy beats, electronic spider tweaks, and banging
banging banging. Danced very hard.
*Copocabanark - French duo who nearly split everyone's eardrums with
waveform squealches and balearic pounding. Winners of the "most
enthusiam" award hands-down.
*Bola - played largely from the album but with Michael England's visuals
(as seen on the Fyuti artwork) was a really nice experience...hearing it
that loud was a catharsis.
*Luomo - sex and love. More on that one later...
But I'm forgetting so much...and I had to miss Atom/Murcof due to
travel...
