Hmm... it looks like flanger is about the only common ground we have on this tip listening wise, but I'll bounce some stuff of you regardless. Click Tracy (aka Books on Tape) is doing some pretty cool stuff right now. His stuff is mainly comprised of sampled jazz instrumentation built around breakbeat loops. It has a really interesting sound because there is this incredible tension between the source sounds and they way they are arranged. I had the fortune of scoring a preview of an upcoming Notype release of some of this material and it was some of the best stuff I've heard in the last few months.. There may be some tracks but click Tracy at http://www.subverseco.com - I haven't checked the site for a while. I don't know if It's as easy to swallow as the flanger material but I highly recommend keeping your ears open for this cat. More harshish, and equally interesting is Low Res's Heftibag release on Mille Plateaux, It evokes the same ambiguous and confused response that Frank Zappas Jazz from Hell does everytime I listen to it. That aside.. Atom Heart just did this release solo on rather interesting.. I haven't heard it yet though..
