the future will be a little more interesting.
some of the enhanced multimedia features of the 2.5G and 3G phones allow some pretty cool stuff.
gianluigi di costanzo (bochum welt) has written some extremely lush ring tones and pad tones for his nokia communicator. it's beautiful to hear a call come in on that thing.....
for the extremely limited audio capability of todays handy's, i vote for more stripped down quantized sounds like skanfrom or some of the "electroclash" (ouch, i said it) stuff like adult or legowelt.
