The foxy Icelandic quartet M?m are preparing their sophomore effort, Finally We Are No One, for release on May 20th through Fatcat in the UK. The follow-up to the stellar Yesterday Was Dramatic, Today Is OK (#7 on Pitchfork's year-end list for 2001) includes a little help from Samuli Kosminen (who bangs drums, pots and pans, and something called dingldangls) and ace Icelandic programmer/engineer Valgeir Sigurdsson, who also worked on a little record you might have heard of called Vespertine.
The album will be preceded by a single, "Green Grass of Tunnel," due later this month on Fatcat on either seven-inch vinyl or as a three-inch CD. The single will contain a different edit of the title track and the non-LP cut "In Through the Lamp." M?m are expected to promote Finally We Are No One with a promotional tour in May. Tr?cklist:
