also - i strongly recommend the works of SIGNER. most on this list would know him as Bevan Smith a.k.a. ASPEN. as SIGNER he records heavily flanged and decayed minimal echo laden techno which sounds like maurizio after a light spray rinse. LP = giving it up to feel affected. respect, Jeff Davis fon: 216.266.69696 pHlow@earthlink.net fax: 216.266.2360 home.earthlink.net\~phlow cel: 216.533.6303 hyperreal.org\music\rotator\ -----Original Message----- From: Thomas Aikin [mailto:phnxdwn@hotmail.com] Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 1:55 PM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: [idm] Basic Channel like recommendations I've gotten totally hooked on the Basic Channel sound recently but am floored by the amount of record labels and releases out there that proclaim to be Basic Channel/micro dub house/whatever and am basically looking for some recommendations. I don't like stuff thats has too much of a four on the floor beat (I prefer it dubbier), and I find stuff like Snd a little too minimal. I've already been way into Pole and Monolake and am pretty intruiged by Akufen. Anyone have particular labels or artists that have that sound? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
