i wouldn't go that far. i'd say that moby is to "idm" what susan vega is to
miles davis. it's about what he says more than it is about the music. (or
what he says through his music). i respect him and enjoy his stuff for it's
folk feel.
(ps-- i met him on tour right before "Play" hit it big--and he was the same
then as he is now--quiet, unnassuming, and very short. i respect a man who
doesn't get blown around by passing fame, etc.)
