Just out of curiosity... does anybody know of any artists discussed on this list that put music together by means other than hearing. I.e... instead of "That sound works there" setting up a system of rules beforehand following them through in their entirety and creating in that manner. The Herbert 'rules' are pretty loose, more along the lines of constraints.
