Dick died the same year the movie had official release, but was privy (of
course) to the details of it from early in its inception.
His remarks about the movie to which I alluded took place shortly before
his death...I can't recall if they were contained in an interview or a
letter. My own source for this information is Dr. Kenneth Jurkievich, Prof.
of Film Studies at CMU in Michigan (having recently done a class with him
as part of my MA in Interdisciplinary Humanities).
