Oh God I hope not. I'm not bashing Jesus or anything,
but one of the largest attracting factors of idm is
its non-missive nature. It is the only genre that
seems to successfully be able to avoid those political
and religious bandwagons.
Punk is the obvious political agenda music, but
Christianity has made its way into nearly every
musical movement this side of Pakistan. I heard that
there is even a Limp Bizket [sp?] Christian
counterpart. Almost lost a lung laughing that one
off.
Christian idm is all idm if you're looking for it. I
strongly feel that this style of music is one of the
most subjective, and the Christian sentiment that you
want can be gained in its strongest form by listening
to good music and filling in the often dynamic
emotional gaps.
If I were to find out that telefon tel aviv were
ultra-religious, that'd be fine, but I still wouldn't
see religion in their music. I would see my
girlfriend and feel us driving out of the city on a
rainy Friday night. And that's just the tracks
fahrenheit fair enough + ttv.
When it loses its subjectivity it loses the "i", and
the "dm" can basically go fuck itself.
