I was just agreeing with whoever said that music from 3rd world countries
that make it to us gringos, all seems to be based on whatever traditional
music from whatever country it originated from. Whether or not Nortec is
good or not (I was just using them for an example, because they've managed
to attract a lot of trendy yuppy ears here where I live) is not what I'm
talking about.
I'd be really interested to hear some of the electronic/salsa/lounge stuff
you refer to, though.
