well, I think Warp made a good choice in having the listening parties rather
than sending out promo cds of the record. They're probably trying to avoid
what happened with drukqs, you know, having the album all over the web
months before its release date.
Can you really blame them, I think it was definitely worth it to spend a
little bit of cash to have a listening party so that all of the local music
critics and other music nerds can have a chance to hear the record and get
their reviews togeter rather than sending out promo cds and losing tons of
money because most people will rather download a record for free than buy
it.
