I actually quite like the album. I do see what you mean about the vocals, but they work for me. I really like the way they interact with the music...otherwise it'd be too sugary-pop for my tastes. You can definitely tell English isn't their first language. And I rather like the lyrics on quite a few of the songs. 'Impossible', 'Stranger', 'Way Too Good' all have engaging lyrics with really nice production. Usually when you hear a band is trying to include electronics in their pop they seem diametrically opposed with their style. I think Figurine have really meshed them together quite well. No it's not going to impress the hardcore IDM fans, but if you want a lighter pop album with interesting beats that don't detract from the song, give them a listen. -Nathan
