:D Granted, I've wondered if All Tomorrow's Parties were ever really geared towards electronic music. Although electronic music is definitely different from most other types of live performance, I've never heard about an experience that went over well for a huge crowd. The sound is *never* good outside like that, you can't see what's going on (not that much usually is, even with rock bands). It's just always seemed like more of an "indie thing" to me. Has anyone been to a really GOOD big outdoor electronic show? And I don't mean any of those lame trancy things, or anything where you were obligatorily drugged in order to perceive some faint enjoyment with the music. And you gotta love big-shot producers who are so anti-sampling yet throw strings into big ballady songs. Yea, they know how to barely play a guitar, and suddenly there's a violin? or 3, or 6! The violins are out of control! ------- eggytoast.com ------- everyone's doing it --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
