Harrison wasn't the only switched-on Beatle -- McCartney loved playing with
reel-to-reel/electronics, and even contacted the BBC Radiophonic Workshop
(home of the Dr. Who soundtrack, etc.) for them to arrange an electronic
score to the song that turned out to be "Yesterday." From what I remember,
he was also a major part of the musique concrete on "Tomorrow Never
Knows"...

indeed. i'll take this opportunity to point out that it was george's idea
to put a moog on "abbey road." first time synthesizers ever showed up on a
mainstream pop/rock record, i believe.
