i thought gold chains was _weak_ as an emcee. hes too old, and he has no
breath control. he came out hard and moved fast, but by his third bar he'd
lost the beat and was way out there. he didnt really get back on top for
the rest of his set. if he did that shit in front of any respectable
hip-hop crowd he'd get laughed off the stage. his beats are very nice
though, if there was a better emcee over them they would be dope. the
indie-rock fly girls arent working either. if he drops an instrumental
album, or if he can do better in a studio, ill pick it up.
also, cex usually freestyles over neptunes or timbaland radio instrumentals
live, only sometimes on his own. still, much better then gold chains. hes
got charisma to make up for everything he lacks in talent, and hes just fun.
doesnt take himself seriously like gold chains does. cex is a great example
of an emcee, buit he would definitely take attention from a dj.
schmoko.
