I have a feeling that the original poster meant "releases that other people may have heard and/or enjoyed." Not necessarily "pop music." For instance, Confield is very innovative, but not necessarily popular. Whereas BrothomStates is popular and available, but not very innovative (sounds like warp circa '94-'95). And "JoeBob's Crazy IDM Remixes" that your friend released out of the back of his truck is not available at all, even though it may be the most amazing thing you've ever heard.
