Artists need to be able to evolve without the need to keep "backward compatibility". I mean that if Artist "X" decide to change style, and his usual followers don't like it ? to bad for them, Artist "X" should'nt be concerned ... he will eventually find others that like the new style. for example, I like Autechre up to tri-repetae, now I don't really care for their new stuff, hey, it's their decision to change, not mine, and I accept that; and I hope that they accept that I'm not buying their CDs ... Or something like that ...
