So, as winter is approaching here in Finland, I was thinking of what albums should I buy for winter listening. What would be suitable for winter, to listen while watching the snow fall in darkness or after skiing to some isolated place, far from everything. I was thinking of getting Vangelis' Antarctis and Biospheres Substrata, what else? Oh yes, speaking of Substrata, what do you think of Substrata 2? How good is the second cd, and how does it fit to the overall mood? Heard the original material was remixed, how good is the remixing quality? You see, I have had troubles finding the original substrata here in Finland, but the Substrata 2 is available (it is slightly more expensive though). So is it safe to buy the Substrata 2, instead of tracking down the original album? Back to the original question now. Obviously some sort of ambient seems to suit winter rather well, but do not hesitate to recommend a completely non-ambient record, it might get boring to listen only to ambient the whole winter. Thank you in advance, |visa k.
