i remember listening to a local radio station in budapest called Fiksz Radio, back in the beginning of 1997. there was an interesting show every monday or tuesday i can't recall exactly, it was called 'Das Labor'. they played hard to find and really interesting tunes. there i heard muslimgauze and aphex twin for the first time. they played 'the waxen pith' from ...I Care Because You Do, and it was like nothing else i could compare to. then i bought the album and another one called 'RDJ album', both with scary faces on the sleeve. then started something that has not finished yet, and will not, fortunately. before, i was a big depeche fan, but that moment totally changed me, i still listen to their music and follow their carreer, but my musical taste become much more experimental-orientated. thank you Warp that it all could happen, thank you Rob, may you rest in peace. bias.
