i work on 31st and 5th, right across from empire state building. we were
evactuated by 10:30a. i also live in brooklyn and was forced to walk the 59th
street bridge to queens / brooklyn boarder. for those not in the area, i
cant even begin to describe the feeling in the city. i was unaware of the
seriousness of it all while on my way to work and hearing random people
talking on the subway.. seeing the smoke was a harsh slap to reality.
walking across the bridge and turning to see a skyline that has been so
qucikly and drasticaly altered sent chills down my spine. my thoughts are
with all those who are here, or have family / friends here. >>
