That "problem" is called "promotion". Being a fairly large label (as far as indies go), Warp sends out promotional copies of their releases anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months in advance of their release. This is done so magazines can schedule reviews and articles to run around the time the records are actually released. I'd guess that Warp sends out quite a few copies of each promo nowadays - and with something like Aphex Twin, which is being released (and promoted) by Warner in the US, that number is probably in the hundreds. All it takes is one or two of the writers/DJs who are serviced a release to rip it and make it available on a server somewhere or other, and within days (or even hours) it'll be all over the Net. Yeah, it's a problem in some respects. But as long as Warp (and other labels) want to do advance promotion for their releases, this sort of thing is going to happen. So it's not a "security problem" as someone suggested, it's simply the way the music business works.
