ok, so it's beginning to dawn on me that i've been seriously missing the
boat on this label. i picked up the +one "bare necessities" album on a whim
a couple of months ago (really just because plaid produced it) and was
thoroughly impressed - it didn't leave my turntables for several weeks.
then, just last week, i was record shopping and i picked up the lackluster
"container" 12" - man is it every luverly!!! why the hell didn't i pick
this up a year ago?
anyway, what i'm wondering is: are the other releases on deFocus similar to
these two? i.e. - are they really really focused on melody over and above
f*d up beat trickery? what are the essential releases i should look into
tracking down?
