I'm pretty sure the original posting about Canada was tongue in cheek (and
this is the only time of year up north where it wouldn't get stuck there),
but _any_ listing of Nuckie IDM should include Vote Robot and French
Paddleboat (Scott from VR). I believe the original VR releases should be
getting repressed soon, and the new album is downright friendly to my ears,
although not as ear(th)-shattering as the first one + Versions. Essentially,
it's a mess of very lovely analog glitch with the occasional burst of warm
pop love. The French Paddleboat release, which is all chimey and nice,
remains one of my favorite summertime-in-a-room-with-windows albums, right
up there with Amateur View by TRR. Hell, just check out Scratch recs and
vegas canada in general (if the latter's still extant). Friendly people.
