I've been using Total Recorder for the past year or so and think it's probably the best piece of software I own. It captures any sound stream and writes it to .wav, it stops recording during periods of silence, likely heard on RealAudio streaming broadcasts which are well over an hour in length. It's shareware and everything, so that means there's more than likely a crack for it (*hint* *hint*).
