Yeah, its reasons like this that also makes the whole "put on a good show"
thing more important -- to me at least. It was nice to see Autechre live
because, hey, they're Autechre, but was it worth $20 to sit through opening
dj's that weren't that great to hear Autechre play a few tracks that didn't
develop much, on a bad PA, and without even looking at the audience?
hell, Cex was 5 bucks, 2 blocks from my apartment, and I got to eat gyro's
at the venue before the show. I also bought the ticket (generic "Admit
One" type thing hehe), walked 3 meters, handed it back over, and was there
:D No ticketmaster, and it was nice knowing that my money would go to the
venue and Cex's troupe. I should've tipped the guy.
