For whatever reason, the pads on the lesser model Grado SR-60's are much more soft, and cover the full headphones (ie no hole in the middle like the SR-80's), so that they don't come off as easily. You can get SR-60 pads for like $10 from wherever you bought the SR-80's. I did that and it made a lot of difference. Grado SR-80 rock.
