Yeah 'No Lightweight Stuff' is a nice compilation of Steve's Bluetrain material. So far there are 8-10 limited 10" & 12" releases on Steve's own Bluetrain label and the comp cd offers a good sampling of those records. But by no means is Bluetrain the only project of Steve O'Sullivan. O'Sullivan has been a prolific and influential producer since the early 90s with over 50 releases to date. You may have heard of some of his other labels including Bluetrain, Mosaic, and Green to name just a few. He was a big player in the mid-90s uk As It Is label collective which also included Blueprint, Void, Solid Groove, Mosaic, Fragment, Alien Funk Movement, and Schatrax, amongst others. I once compiled an O'Sullivan discography but that was a few years ago. i'll see if i can track it down and repost it. But the styles you hear on the 'No Lightweight Stuff' comp are only representative of a small part of O'Sullivan's work. He also produces fabulous tech-house, deep-techno, and minimal techno. -->-Lance---- PO Box 450715 Westlake, OH 44145 United States --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
