As I stood watching Tortoise last night doing a thoroughly enjoyable set at
DEMF, it was quite impossible NOT to invoke King Crimson (in their 70s
jazz/prog phase) when making comparisons.
Some of those time signatures in the live shows seem quite "brufordian".
