I'm definitely not the authority here either, but check out "Sound of the
Pirates", mixed by Zed Bias. I'm not sure you can completely get away from
the divas and chatters (I love 'em personally), but this one's a bit more
track-oriented than most. My fave's still Pure Garage, mixed by DJ EZ, but
it has a lot of R&B on it...
You might find yourself eventually getting past the vocals too -- they're
often so cut-up and messed-with that they become just another part of the
production...
