OK, so we all know what some people are liking right
now, but what are we all looking forward to? (And
don't anybody say things like "Aphex's next album" -
let's not be looking forward to vaporware).
Here's some stuff I can't wait to hear:
Freeform - everything he's releasing this year, if it
doesn't end up being delayed again. especially the
Skam album...
Proem - negativ (and the other upcoming stuff; he's
forcing me to buy a minidisc!) I'm cautious since he's
really only had one album, but I expect to be
satisfied
Squarepusher (who isn't?)
Plaid (ditto!)
Hrvatski - I'm just really really curious what his
upcoming Planet Mu album is going to be like. So many
people seem to love this guy, and all I've been able
to hear is the Oiseaux album of old tracks, and a few
compilation tracks here and there. I guess I'm really
just hoping that it's not going to be too similar to
the other recent Planet Mu stuff like Pthalocyanine,
Venetian Snares, and that Hellfish stuff. I like
fucked up and hard, but somehow this stuff just rubs
me wrong.
Mira Calix! Everyone must buy her next single! It's
gotta be good!
