As everyone seems to be at it, I thought I'd inspire everyone with my superior taste in music. It's not all recent, just what's getting played at the moment:
mice parade - mookondi
I'm surprised no-one else has mentioned mice parade - it's not really IDM admittedly, but his stuff is always amazing. Did anyone see him live recently? I'd be interested to know what its like. Apparently he's on One World on Radio 1 this Thursday.
autechre - confield
I first thought it was terrible, as with most autechre, and as usual its really grown on me
four tet - dialogue
well over 1 year on and still going strong. New album out soon.
twilight as sung by the twilight singers
not IDM at all, but its really nice. Strangely enough, the beast tracks seem to be the ones without the Fila Brazilia production
pilote - doitnowman
This is kind of 'pop' IDM - loads of melodies and (amazingly) hardly a single distorted crunchy beat to be heard. Quite unusual nowadays.
and, in no particular order
mouse on mars - niun niggung
plaid - squance
super furry animals - mwng
crunch 1
infesticons - gun hill road
digital - chronic 13
cinematic orchesrtra remixes
antibalas - liberation afro beat vol 1
squarepusher - music is rotted one note
mbv - loveless (as usual)
