You see, everyone... when someone achieves any level
of success, the vehemence and passion of his or her
detractors over even the most minor of issues shines
through... thus further emphasizing that persons level
of success.
When someone says nothing (you know, like some people
claim Autechre are doing by not responding onlist or
to their personal emails), they're looked down upon.
If they say something (as John Balance has), then
they're looked down upon. A hater is a hater whether
it be krautrock or pop.
I hope I get famous someday. Then I can ignore it
when people talk trash about me as I sit in my Park
Avenue penthouse smoking a Cohiba and drinking a
smooth whiskey and say "Wow, I'm fucking famous! Joe
in Idaho thinks I'm weak."
